Monday Mania
Hey Everyone!
I’m Joe, and as you probably guessed, I’m a new student blogger. I’m a pre-med student studying biology and psychology. My future, you ask? Well, I am an aspiring physician and want to travel to developing countries in my spare time to provide some sort of medical assistance. Also, I received a scholarship from Hartwick to travel to Thailand to do a malnutrition study on hill tribe children which strengthened my interest in public health.
This semester is a crazy one so far. I’m only taking 21 credits; I don’t see why it should be so insane (*note sarcasm). The classes are amazing though so it makes up for the plethora of coursework. I’m also a TA for psychological science I which is a lot of fun and is a good teaching experience.
Today was a good day, despite it being Monday which is my busiest day. There was a Tri-Beta (biology club) speaker who discussed her research on heart regeneration and current bioengineering tissue treatment therapies for the heart which was very interesting. She was also a Hartwick College graduate.
Oh yeah, I have both good and bad news. Good news? My birthday is on Sunday! Bad news? I have 3 exams on Monday. I guess my professors thought it would be a nice birthday gift. Suffice to say I’ll be spending my birthday hiding in the library.
Anyway, my textbook told me it can’t read itself so I suppose I should go do that.
Until next time,
Joe
P.S. All birthday gifts can be forwarded to my campus box
