Happy Belated Man’s Day!!!
Yep, that’s right….Friday the 28th was the celebration of man at Hartwick College. Flyers were posted all throughout campus. Anyone know who created this “holiday” or how it was started? I spent my “Man’s Day” pretty much doing nothing. So much for a celebration…
In other news, I literally almost got struck by lightning. I was taking my dog Darwin for a walk up to Strawberry Fields on Thursday and I was hiking on a few trails up there when I saw very dark clouds. I didn’t think much of it and decided to try to head back to beat the storm but no such luck. It took me fifteen minutes to get to an academic building and during that time the lightning was EXTREMELY close to us near the tennis courts; within five feet from where I was standing. Luckily, neither Darwin nor I got fried. However, it seemed like it flooded everywhere on campus. In Johnstone, water started leaking from the ceiling in the entrance, and also in a classroom. Later that night when I went to grab dinner (or at least attempt to) at Table Rock Café, they were closed due to flooding in Stack Lounge. As the saying goes…when it rains it pours.
Not to be random, but I highly recommend eating at the Autumn Café. I ate there last night with a friend for my birthday and the food was amazing; I got this sautéed chicken breast plate which is one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had. They have live music on certain days but I have yet to check that out.
Anyway, I have exams to study for and have procrastinated the entire weekend. But you know what they say, procrastinate now, don’t put it off! So, now I’m going to make myself study on my birthday.
Yeah, I’m bringing nerdy back.
