Finally…there’s tex-mex in Oneonta!!!
Alright, I know you can get tex-mex food at the Phoenix Cafe, and at Bella Pockets too, but we finally have an entirely tex-mex restaurant that’s clearly aimed at the college crowd around here. About darn time, too.
After hearing about “the new burrito place on Main Street” the other day, my boyfriend and I decided to try and find it for lunch yesterday. After parking, we quickly found it - QQ Burrito, right in the middle of everything (near The Old Spanish Tavern, for those of you needing something more specific). From the outside it didn’t seem all that promising, but don’t worry - remember, you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. You can sit inside or take your food to go, and they even deliver. Their menu is pretty wide, offering tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, burritos, and other tex-mex favorites, all for pretty cheap, and all with your choice of chicken, beef, steak, vegetarian, and even shrimp. They also have meals, where you pay an extra however much for a drink and chips, and plenty of sides, like chips with salsa or guacamole. Plus, if you spend more than ten bucks, you get a free burrito, and trust me, they’re pretty sizable. I’m not sure how long they’ll be giving out the burritos, but it’s definitely a good deal to go with a bunch of people and reduce the cost of your total bill. The fajitas - I had a chicken and a shrimp - were delicious, and the burritos that my boyfriend got were pretty big and full of awesome stuff.
Overall, it was a great meal, and a nice change of scenery. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who’s been craving some tex-mex here in town just like I have.
If I don’t blog again before Wednesday, have a great break!
