Must See

Last night, a group of friends and I went to see 300, the new movie based off of Frank Miller’s graphic novel about the 300 Spartans who went to war with a million Persians.  I had wanted to see the movie since I heard about it, and after hearing rave reviews, a large group of us decided that it could not be missed.  I was definitely not disappointed.

If you like movies at all, whether for the acting, the one liners, the costumes, the soundtrack, or the cinematograpy, do yourself a favor and go see this movie.  The violence was definitely gratuitous, but in the best way (think Sin City meets Kill Bill meets Troy - on crack).  The cinematography was absolutely stunning - you will not want to take your eyes off of the screen for a second.  I already have a copy of the soundtrack, because the music is so powerful that I couldn’t go 24 hours without listening to it.

I won’t continue to ramble on and on about it, but please, go see it right now.  Seriously.  Get up out of your chair and drive to the nearest movie theater and get some tickets for the next showing.  Personally, I’d love to go again.  Very soon.  To see the trailer and find out a little bit more about it, go to the official website.
